Create a duo of plates imprinted with garden delights

Join me at my oceanside studio for a joyful Saturday afternoon of clay and creativity!

We’ll handbuild a set of side plates that are imprinted with flowers and plants from my garden (or yours!).

SCHEDULE

We’ll spend the workshop outdoors on my covered deck, first reviewing the basics of the ceramic process and then tackling the handbuilding of our plates.

Alongside the breathtaking ocean view, we’ll enjoy afternoon fika of coffee, tea, and baked treats while we work on our pieces.

We’ll soften edges, clean up rims, and add bits of colour using underglaze paints.

Our time together will finish around 3pm.

Once the plates have completely dried, I will fire them twice and glaze them with a translucent glaze.

Your plates should be ready about 4-6 weeks after the workshop, and will be available for pickup at my studio (or shipped, for an additional cost).

This workshop is open to anyone, whether you’ve touched clay before or not, and suitable for ages 16+.

COST

$150/person* includes:

• 2 hours of facilitated workshop time as part of a small group

• All the materials necessary to make two small plates, as well as the two kiln firings and glazing necessary to complete your pieces

• An array of beverages and homemade food to enjoy

*Option for reduced rate will be available for those who identify as BIPOC

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full payment will be required at time of booking. Refunds will be offered until 7 days prior to the class, at which time, you will be responsible for finding your own replacement.
