Join me for a COZY Sunday morning of clay and creativity!
We will enjoy hot cups of tea and delicious nibbles, and slowly create a few beautiful winter ornaments from slabs of clay.

We’ll spend the workshop at Seafoam Studio in Daajing Giids.
The space has:
a single stall, gender neutral bathroom
armless, padded folding chairs
ground level entry

This workshop is open for complete beginners to pottery.
It is suitable for ages 14+.
I strive for my workshops to be a safe and welcoming environment for all genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations and abilities.

We’ll start by going over the basics of the ceramic process and then tackling the handbuilding of our ornaments. There will be an array of shapes and textures to choose from.
Once the clay has set up a bit, edges will be softened, and finishing touches completed.
You’ll choose your favourite 3 ornaments to have fired and finished.
Our time together will finish around 12pm.
Once the ornaments have fully dried, I will fire them twice and glaze them your choice of translucent glaze.
Your pieces should be ready within 2 weeks of the workshop, and will be available for pickup at my studio (or a TBA time in Daajing Giids). Delivery can be arranged for an additional cost.

Cookie cutters & Items to create texture eg. foliage, lace, stamps (all optional, I’ll have plenty on hand as well)

$135/PERSON* INCLUDES:
2 hours of facilitated studio time, which includes all materials to make and decorate three ornaments, as well as the kiln firings and glazing necessary to complete your pieces
warm beverages and a morning snack
*Option of a solidarity rate (20% off) for those facing financial barriers due to circumstances like disability, chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, or systemic marginalization.

Full payment will be required at time of booking. Refunds will be offered until 7 days prior to the class, at which time, you will be responsible for finding your own replacement.
