This workshop is for all levels, including complete beginners to pottery (and kids, with an adults help).
This workshop is for the lovers, the roommates, the parent/kiddo, and any other duos who want to break their repetitious routine and spend some creative, quality time together. Or, if alone time is what you crave, then enjoy it solo!This workshop is only available to those on Haida Gwaii during the last two weeks of March (off-island delivery of completed pieces can be arranged).

Workshop kits will be delivered to your doorstep sometime around March 17th.
You’ll have approximately two weeks to watch the instructional video and create your duo of sippers.
You’ll repack your pieces in the kit box, and the courier will pick up during the week of March 31st.
Once safely back at my studio, the pieces will be allowed to completely dry. I will fire them twice and glaze them both with one of the two glaze options provided.
Your pieces will be ready in approximately 4 weeks, and will be delivered back to your home.

The length of the workshop is up to you and how quickly you choose to work, however I would plan for approximately 2 hours, plus a break in the middle of approximately 1 hour for drying.
It’s well suited for a relaxing evening or afternoon, perhaps using the drying break to eat some dessert, or go for a stroll. -

The two kiln firings and glazing necessary to complete the two pieces

Rolling device
(eg. rolling pin, wood dowel, water bottle)
Two rolling slats
same thickness (0.75-1cm) to act as thickness gauges (eg. pencils, chopsticks, spatula handles)
Cylinder
straight-sided, approximately 8-14cm in diameter
(eg. large mason jar, wine bottle, can of food)
Texture (optional); (eg. plant foliage, lego, stamps, doilies, lace, buttons, etc).

Full payment will be required at time of booking. Refunds will be offered until 7 days prior to the workshop drop off day, after which time, you will be responsible for finding your own replacement.
